Within a pointed pentafoil, ‘lā ilāha illā / Allāh Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); below, ‘Abū Isḥāq’ (‘Abu Ishaq’ in Arabic); around, ‘ṣalla – Allāh – ʿalayh’, continued in the lower part of the margin, ‘wa sallam’ (‘May Allah bless him and grant him peace’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘fī – shuhūr – sana – sabʿa miʾa’ (‘In the months of the year 700’ in Arabic). Rev. Within a circle, in the center, ‘Ghāzān Maḥmūd’ (‘Ghazan Mahmud’ in Arabic); above and below, ‘Tegriin / Kucundur – Gasanu / Deledkeguluk / sen’ (‘Under the power of heaven, struck by Ghazan’ in Uighur); to the left, three letters in Mongol Phags-pa script: ma, kha, za; repetition of the date to right and left, ‘fī shuhūr – sana sabʿa miʾa’ (‘In the months of the year 700’ in Arabic).
